Acerola is a fruit 1 to 2 cm in diameter and grows on a small tree in the family of Malpighiaceae native to South America. The acerola is an edible berry, the flesh is juicy, yellow-orange, with a tangy taste, pleasant and very rich in vitamin C (up to 30 times what we find in orange).
